It's a little disappointing that we didn't get to see Josh's gem ability though, or is it giving Josh the ability to go insane?

I actually kinda figured that they would all have different abilities instead of the generic stat boost. Wou;d have been a bit boring if they were all cookie-cutter abilities.
Marianne’s gem hold the power of lightning, Joahua’s gem holds the power of insanity? Maybe Morgane will have a future sight next.

He rides on a wild boar (which has humanoid shoulders, by the way…), he sees closed bundle of kitchen wear and not only steers the wild boar towards it, close enough to actually reach it, leans down towards it holding to the boars ear, not making it turn anywhere there, sticks his hand in the closed bundle and not only manages to grab the one item he was most likely looking for, but also regain balance on a thing that’s probably trying to shake him off?

Huh. And, back on page 39, Marianne’s eyes changed to red when she went on the offensive and attacked the second scorpion-bot, too. Maybe tapping the power of the inset temporarily changes a character’s eye-color to match that of their jewel?
